SIMON LOVE & THE OLD ROMANTICS
Imagine Randy Newman’s epic storytelling filtered through the Britishness of Ray Davies, with music that veers from mid-60s pop and country to ELO, served up in a style that bears similarities with a sardonic post Britpop Jarvis Cocker. After imagining all that, please lower your expectations and you won’t be disappointed by Simon Love.
Simon Love and his group, The Old Romantics, play songs from his latest album ‘Love, Sex and Death etc’, new material, and an array of his back catalogue.
SCARE TAXI
Alternative goth-pop-rock duo Scare Taxi debuted at The Wedding Present’s 2017 ‘Edge of the Sea Festival’ and have since played with Electric Six, Membranes, Gene
Loves Jezebel, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind, S*M*A*S*H, Art Brut, Ed Borrie, The DeRellas & The Ramonas, taking in festivals and the legendary Hope & Anchor along
the way.
Scare Taxi, driven by Tara Guitara and Boag can be found parked up in Brighton hoovering up the multifarious styles & ideologies of Brighton’s culture and fermenting this with their former eclectic gene pool to create a sound that only a drummer morphed to machine could keep up with.
Following the release of their debut album at the beginning of 2020 and looking forward to a tour in foreign climes, the P word hit and the world stopped!
So here Scare Taxi stands with an altered course, a reshaped vision, with no politics or hidden agendas, just energy, hooks & a desire to keep live music alive!
Their debut album Death By Music is available everywhere
with a follow ups planned for 2023

THE METATRONS
The Metatrons are a delightfully fuzzy indiepop band all the way from Hitchin. After signing to Chapter 22 Records in 2019 they released their “Deconstruction” album, which was a fantastic critical success, being called “The pinnacle of quality pop” and “a thunderous slice of pop majesty”. Vive le Rock said the album was “bursting with bright, breezy driving rhythms…you should hear them”
The band toured the album, opening for Altered Images on their UK tour in 2022 to add to the already impressive list of great bands they’ve worked with – Shonen Knife, Echobelly, The Primitives, Dodgy, The Blockheads, The Membranes, Steve Craddock and Glen Matlock to name but a few.
2023 promises more great shows as they prepare to release their 4th album “Lumination” in June and hit the road again in the summer.
