King Effers launch their new album Soap Box with this show at The Hope and Anchor on December 3rd. Support comes from Voodoo Radio plus more guests to be announced.
In 2019, having got fed up with censorship and silly social media algorithms, The Fuckwits changed their name to King Effers. Mr Keef and Chris (The Fuckwits) were joined by Tank (Freekspert) on drums, and Muzz (Artery/Faerground Accidents) on bass. With a love of all things punk, reggae and rocksteady it was only a matter of time before the sound turned into a punky reggae party.
Having toured the UK and Germany and negotiated the perils and pitfalls of the covid lockdowns, they finally managed to get enough studio time to complete the recordings of what would become the first King Effers album entitled ‘Soap Box’ which is currently available preorder on CD from https://holydotage.co.uk/shop/king-effers-soap-box/
Since the release of their latest EP, Stupid Humans, back in the Spring, Cumbrian power-punk father-daughter duo VOODOO RADIO continue to hurtle along at breath taking speed grabbing the attention of all-comers. The band have continued to gain momentum since last year playing Twisterella and Kendall Calling, and having stacks of support from BBC Introducing Cumbria and plaudits from Louder Than War, Loud Women and Vive le Rock Magazine.
