We are promoting the first of our new monthly BANDS Night @The Hope & Anchor in ISLINGTON. Headlining are LEONTAS who will be hosting their Single Launch along with INDIE Rockers AVENUE and FLORES with WOLFE HOGAN opening. If you are new to London or have never been to ISLINGTON, this will be a great event to come to – It’s at a Top Venue in the Heart of CENTRAL LONDON. Great place for a beer and Live Music! 🎉

LEONTAS – a rock n roll duet from London consisting of Alex Munteanu on guitars-vocals and Scott Collier on drums. They make music that people can relate to combining raw, thundering beats with heavy guitar driven riffs and melodic choruses. Drawing inspiration from classic bands such as: Led Zeppelin, T-Rex, The Black Keys, Jack White.
AVENUE – A British band from London comprising of Pave, Matthew Nicholls and Fraser Frengley, bringing dazzling indie vibes and catchy songs – like The Smiths getting beaten up by Oasis.

Classically trained on the violin from a young age and feeling the pull to play and sing simultaneously – It’s an ongoing experiment, still learning. Bashing rhythm on the fiddle into a loop pedal Wolfe offers up the freedom to solo. Drawing inspiration from country, folk, jazz, even classical fiddle traditions

This is a ‘Meetup’ event so you will be able to watch the gig with members of the group. It’s a mix of regular and newcomers so feel free to come on your own and meet new people 🙂
We’ll meet at the venue 7:30pm for drinks and chat. There will be an area reserved with a MEETUP SIGN so easy to find us. Don’t worry if you are shy or going on your own – We’re a friendly mix; French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and English people so I’m sure you will meet someone that shares a passion for Rocking Music
Don’t worry if attendance looks low, we are meeting other Meetup/Whatsapp/Facebook Groups and a lot of my friends don’t RSVP.
