ALTER ECHO
alter echo is… Keegan Joyce. alter echo signifies a new stage in Keegan’s musical life. The moniker is a reference to Greek mythology and a play on ‘alter ego.’ “I wanted to get away from the narcissism of my own name, what better way than to name myself after Echo, who fell in love with Narcissus, but was cursed to repeat the last words spoken to her and couldn’t convey her feelings. Also the algorithm sometimes pairs ‘Keegan Joyce’ with comedy podcasts and my music isn’t that funny.”
FRANKIE MORROW
Scottish 5-piece ready to melt yer heart. Almost a decade after playing in various outfits together and separately on the west coast of Scotland from the tender age of 14, a chance meeting on a train back home for Christmas from London brought childhood friends Frankie Morrow (electric guitar, lead vocals) James Smith (bass – formerly Be Charlotte) and Duncan Carswell (drums – formerly The Vegan Leather) back together once more. A couple of bevvies later; a plan was born and the band finally formed in January 2022, with the additions of established singer-songwriters Neev (acoustic guitar, keys, BVs) and Samuel Nicholson (electric guitar).
Before they had played their first gig the then unreleased track White Rocks had already picked up its first airplay on BBC Introducing in Scotland and later on Amazing Radio in the UK and USA.
“I absolutely love this artist… Frankie is on a mission to let the world know women can front guitar bands.” – BBC Introducing
