The former Sha La La’s singer/songwriter/ Darron Robinson’s debut is a blistering, soul-fueled four track EP released on limited edition 7” vinyl. Title track ‘Bring On The Sound (Of Truth & Kindness)’ has all the elements we’ve come to expect from Darron’s writing. lyrics of hope and optimism sung with spirit and attitude, with a swirling string section refrain and an infectious, up-tempo driving rhythm. ‘Ain’t Got Time’ is an inspired soulful ballad, gospel organ and piano guiding us through. The B side opens with a modern ‘Northern Soul’ classic if ever there was one! ‘We Can’t Lose’ showcasing Darron’s talents as a songsmith, talents that have grabbed the attention of none other than legendary Northern Soul DJ Richard Searling and BBC 6 Music’s Craig Charles. There’s an understated charm to the stripped back vocal and guitar of ‘She Can Love’ with a nod to those classic Style Council B sides!- Detour Records
