Squelch! are a post-hardcore quartet based in Greater Manchester defined by their noisy textures and emo aesthetics. Inspired by acts such as ‘Sunny Day Real Estate’, ‘Title Fight’ and ‘Basement’, the band has released their first two singles over the course of 2023, with an EP promised for early 2024. Fronted by Ethan Rodman on vocals, screams and occasional rhythm guitar, the sound is rounded out by lead guitarist Jake Meehan’s wailing, distorted melodies, Matthew Woolley’s fuzzy bass-lines and drummer Ethan Linley’s frantic energy and explosive fills.
