DANIEL FAZZINA
Daniel Fazzina is back playing the London circuit after many years & recording an album with incredible handpicked producers & musicians. His influences range from folk, blues & indie rock with haunting/beautiful vocals & intense rhythmic & hypnotic guitar tones. His mother had a jazz label in his early teens & was taken to go on tour with the likes of Ray Charles & Fats Domino which had a profound influence. Later he was offered the largest singles deal in the UK at the age of 16 which he turned down in the pursuit of more honest & challenging writing. With a varied selection of musicians in his band with widely different styles his live shows are a beautiful flux of sounds, feels & emotions
FEAR, THE MAN
At the age of 15, Fear, the Man wrote their first ever song after experiencing personal loss for the first time in their life. Since then, their music has been an expression of wonder and happiness for Fear, and they hope for others too. This London-born multi-instrumentalist released their first solo album ‘I am Fear, the Man’ in 2021, with hopes of brightening what was, at the time, a darker world. The album comprises of songs written in Fear’s youth and deals with themes of family, nostalgia and grief as well as the journey that is growing up: a theme that reaches its pinnacle in the rip-roaring high energy single ‘Make a Man’. Nowadays, Fear, the Man is exploring a multitude of genres in their writing, most notably folk music. During lockdown Fear wrote an entire album, over the course of a week, inspired by one of their favourite styles of music: sea shanties. The album, titled ‘Abacus’, is a concept album set in an alternate world of the golden age of piracy. Through lyrical story-telling, the album explores war; the invasion and imposition of authority and power over the unwilling, and the inability to accept what is considered ‘different’ for fear of losing control. Tonight, Fear will play some of these songs for the first time ever, in the hopes you will enjoy them as much as they do.
